Terms & Conditions

  1. Formation of contract

    A binding contract between you and the owner of Shorefield, Ms Catherine Morrison, will take effect when we issue you with a holiday confirmation letter or email.

  3. Period of hire

    Letting commences at 4pm on the day of arrival and terminates at 10am on departure. Lets are on a weekly basis and the maximum period of let is 3 weeks.

    Short breaks consist of a minimum of 3 night's duration.

    Only the persons named on the booking form are permitted to stay in the cottage during the period of hire.

  4. Booking and payment

    A deposit of £200 is payable when the booking is made. We will write to confirm your booking and reservation as soon as a deposit is received from you.

    The balance is due 6 weeks before the commencement of the let. If you book your holiday less than six weeks before it is due to commence, please pay the full amount after we have confirmed your booking.

    The price for Shorefield is inclusive of all fees, electricity and all bed linen and towels. The number of persons occupying the properties should not exceed six. Subletting is strictly prohibited.

    Cheques should be made payable to Ms Catherine Morrison.

  5. Cancellations.

    If a booking is cancelled less than 70 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.

    If the booking is cancelled 70 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to £25 per booking will be made.

    In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

  7. Breakage or damage

    We respectfully ask that any items damaged should be replaced or remunerated. Please advise us of any breakage or damage that should occur during your stay.

  8. Care of property

    The accommodation and all furniture, fixtures and effects are to be kept in the same state of repair, condition and cleanliness as at commencement of your holiday.

  9. Liability

    The owner shall have no liability for any death, personal injury, damage or loss of property, unless this results from the owner's negligence.

  10. Right of entry.

    The owner reserve the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out necessary repairs or maintenance.

  11. Other conditions

    Smoking is not permitted at any time in Shorefield.

    Pets are welcome, subject to prior arrangement.
